When will I know the details of my homestay?

  • Usually, you will receive information about your host family about a week or 2 after that you have sent the appication form.

I have a drivers license from my home country. Is this valid in NZ (if I want to rent or buy a car)?

What sports are popular  in New Zealand?
  • New Zealanders enjoy outdoor activities. The following are very popular: golf, rugby, netball, soccer, tennis, sailing, surfing, scuba diving, horse riding, hiking, bowls... If you are interested, you can join one of the local clubs; the fees are relatively low.

Can I bring my mobile phone to New Zealand? Will it work there?
  • This depends on the system in your home country. Please ask your phone company. Most students bring their phone and use a New Zealand sim-card on a New Zealand network. There are three mobile phone companies in New Zealand: Telecom, Vodafone and 2-Degrees.
